Kihei Town, the home of the Pacific Whale Foundation and Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale Sanctuary, is the happening capital of South Maui. Where to Find Vacation Rentals in Kihei
Everywhere near the beach!. Ease of access to other areas of Maui, low prices & ocean front accommodations make Kihei attractive to many value seekers. Kihei accommodations are a bit smaller and more affordable than those in Wailea and Makena but larger than those on the West Side
Low rise Condo communities offer the most square feet and are generally Mauka (toward the mountain) across 2-lane Kihei Rd from the beach. 25 mph speeds and many crossings with flashing lights make it a relatively safe 5 min or less walk to the beach. These properties offer great value.
4-6 story properties are often found right on the beach but accommodations are often quite small and prices a bit higher than those across the street.
