On Maui Private Homes that are not in resort areas can be short term rentals but they are heavily regulated and only a few allowed in each subbdivision. Look for STRH permits and read the home description in the body of each property listing. On some websites properties say they are legally permitted but they are not.  We actually confirm with Maui County that the homes on this website are LEGAL vacation rentals.  We would love to have more properties represented here.  Feel free to recommend a home you'd like to see advertised here and avoiid those extra fees from Search sites.
