Maui Vista 1104

We are from Alberta and have been visiting Maui since the 1990's. We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world (Jasper National Park) in the Canadian Rockies. We do however like to shorten our long winters by traveling to a warmer climate and after visiting various tropical destinations, we have found that Maui offers by far the best climate and beaches. Why: We chose the Maui Vista, Building 1, due to its great location across the road from Charley Young / Kamaole 1 Beach and around the corner from Cove Park which is a popular stand up board/surfing spot. We love to stroll along the beach from Kamaole 1 to Kamaole 111 (about 1 mile), each morning before breakfast on the lanai. Within easy walking distance of the Maui Vista both to the north and south are many restaurants, coffee shops and retail stores. Walking along the beaches in the morning or at sunset is a favorite pastime . We occasionally walk to the beaches at Wailea for coffee and a stroll through the shops (about 3 miles one way). We cycle most days to a variety of places between North Kihei and Makena for beaches, coffee and exercise.
