We can't say enough about Maui! Or DG13

5 STARS IN OUR BOOKS!!!!
Maui has been our "go-to" place since our honeymoon in 1991. We weren't able to return the first time til 2004. Life...
Since then, we've visited this beautiful island 12 times - approximately every 2 years. (We certainly wish we could stay indefinitely!) Each trip holds its own sweet memories.
We have made many friends there!
Accommodations have always been the trickiest part of booking our trips. Location, location, location.
This trip, DG-13, was the top contender. And from the minute we set foot inside, we knew we'd found our resort!
The heritage photos on the wall correspond to the details in the Welcome Binder. So informative. You become a part of Laurie & Jeff's family!
Laurie & Jeff also have a binder with local information it. From restaurants to medi centers to beaches to events. It's all there. We added to it, which they warmly received. All this info eliminates reinventing the wheel and destressing your stay. It lets you focus on getting "out there" and experiencing Maui in all its splendor!
Oftentimes, the difference between a great unit and an outstanding one is the attention to detail - and DG13 is easily the best equipped and managed unit we have stayed in yet. The kitchen has everything (even an electric kettle!), and everything is easy to find. If you don't know how to work the TV remote, no problem! There are instructions handy for everything. The attention to detail is truly amazing.
Comfy bed, beautifully furnished living room, and the pool is steps away. It's definitely a great package!

Highly Recommend this Wonderful condo!
"Second time we have stayed at this wonderful condo... spotless and so many thoughtful items. We were there a month both times and instantly felt at home. Love the location as we could walk right out to the pool and BBQ from the slider which is great when you forget something and steaks still nice and hot! Grounds are beautiful and pool areas well maintained.
Communication with Laurie was amazing... we have researched many places over the past several years and were frustrated with other sites as well as their extra fees.
Recommend this unit!"

Home 2 days and want to go back already!!
"Laurie was an amazing host. Kind and so easy to deal with. Condo is perfectly situated. Close to the pool and barbecue and right across from the beautiful beach.
We had everything we needed for our vacation. Beach chairs, boogie boards, etc."

An Amazing Place

A peaceful get away
"I truly loved Jeff and Laurie's home. It felt so relaxing and comfortable. I loved that it was a quick 3-minute walk to the beach, within walking distance of amazing food and shops, and not to mention the beautiful orchid garden by the front door.
This felt like a home away from my home and it was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much Jeff and Laurie!"

5-Stars! What A Wonderful Place to Stay In Kihei. WoW!
"Mahalo Laurie & Jeff for a wonderful holiday opportunity to relax in your Maui condo.
I couldn't have wanted for anything more - the condo is perfectly stocked with everything one could need and well appointed with all the comforts of home. The kitchen had everything one would need if you're going to prepare your own meals - although I did enjoy many of the nearby eats during my stay. There are so many great places to eat within easy walking distance. My favourite was the Pineapple Upside Down cake with Macadamia Nut Ice Cream at Cafe O'Lei Kihei and a delicious giant burrito at Fred's Mexican Cafe!
The grounds at Kihei Akahi are gorgeous and welcoming and meticulously cared for with so many beautiful plants and flowers. I particularly enjoyed many hours relaxing on the garden patio in the afternoon sun taking in all the smells of Maui and heading down the to the beach to watch the sunsets over the Pacific Ocean!
5-Stars for a perfectly executed stay. I will recommend Laurie and Jeff's condo to anyone looking for a positive rental experience at the risk it becomes too popular as I will be a return customer for my next trip, god willing it's available. They are very responsive and truly care that their guests have a wonderfully trouble-free stay."

Great place to stay
"We absolutely loved everything about our stay! The bed is extremely comfortable, and the space is well organized and well stocked. It has a very central location with an awesome beach located right across the street. Communication was also fantastic and we felt right at home.

One of the Best
"We have stayed at Kihei Akahi 24 of 25 of our visits to Maui. The location is perfect. Everything needed is within walking distance so a car is not a must unless you want to tour the beautiful island. The grounds are well-kept and seem to be getting nicer every year. Laurie and Jeff's condo shows pride of ownership and their experience as guests before being owners. Nothing is left to chance. The condo is in a very quiet part of the building so sleep in the super comfortable bed is undisturbed. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, well stocked condo near the beach, want to avoid extra booking fees and have confidence you will be looked after, this is your place!

Heaven can wait!
"It was our first time to Maui and what luck to have booked such a nice condo. Laurie was a wonderful host. Communications between us was excellent. This condo ticks all the boxes. Well supplied and maintained, it's ground floor that's beautifully landscaped, only 30 steps from the pool, 5 minute walk from beautiful sandy beach, 4 minutes from a pub. The condo faces west so you get nice cool morning breakfasts on the outside patio. The family of chickens that appear each day puts a smile on your face. Office people were very friendly and quite helpful with prebooking flight stuff. On many afternoons we laid around the pool. We met so many friendly people by the pool it was quite enjoyable. We would easily recommend staying here.

Perfect place to stay in Maui!

Thank you for the amazing condo. It is located in Kihei, which is in my opinion the best place to stay on the island. The place is super clean and the bed is extra comfortable. It is perfect for a family since it is very well equipped (beach gears, kitchen, etc.). We cooked our meals and could find everything we needed.

"Such a nice, clean place. Everything we needed was right there from a rice cooker to a blender. My granddaughter was so awestruck having a swimming pool right in the "backyard." This was the perfect place for a relaxed, family vacation."

Look No Further
"Having stayed in the Kihei Akahi development on several previous visits with some disappointments, we lucked out finding Laurie and Jeff's unit on the website and would say without question this condo is one of the nicest in the complex. Clean, comfortable, stylish, with everything you could possibly need, this condo ticks all the boxes. It's on ground level, steps from the pool with a short walk to the beach. If you're looking at this unit and it's available, book it. We promise you will not be disappointed. You will find Laurie very helpful should you have and questions."

What a PERFECT place to stay, this past Christmas, to visit our daughter, a HI resident.
You anticipated everything that anyone might need, to make us feel at home., in your beautiful condo. No detail was overlooked.
The location in Kihei is wonderful, giving us the opportunity to walk/run, to great restaurants, & a swim or surf beach.

Like your own home!
"The most enjoyable part of staying at Laurie and Jeff's condo is that it felt like our own home. At least for 10 days. We enjoyed having a place to stay that felt like it was our home for the time we spent on Maui.
The location was close to the beach (a 3-minute walk) and to many great places to eat. Access to the rest of the island was fast and easy.
We would definitely recommend this condo and intend to come back as many times as possible in the future.

A Great Home Away From Home
"We had a (too) short visit in early December 2021. I can truly say, it turned out we saved the best accommodation for the last (had stayed in both West Maui and in Hana before arriving at Jeff and Laurie's condo). Very comfortable place, very well stocked (more spices and condiments than we have in our own place!), and plenty of beach toys. The location is great. Laurie was extremely responsive to my questions, and gracious in her replies (even though she probably gets the same few questions over and over). We will absolutely look to stay here again when we come back to Maui."

Home Sweet Home!
"Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful condo. Excellent location in Kihei, right across the street from the beach, walking distance to shops, restaurants and more. The condo is perfectly appointed with everything you need including a coffee maker, all kitchen utensils, bathroom amenities, ceiling and standing fans, WiFi, Smart TV, washer/dryer, nightstand outlets and more. Jeff and Laurie have also added TONS of extra amenities for your stay including, coffee, tea, complimentary bath soaps, Tommy Bahamas beach chairs, boogie boards and great books of local information and tips. There were even extra condiments in the fridge and spices in the cabinets. Every bit of thoughtful hospitality made our stay that much more enjoyable!! Highly recommended. We will stay there again when we return. Mahalo!"

Looking forward to the next time
"We stayed for 12 days in July 2021. We had a terrific time. This condo had everything we needed, and it even had things we didn't even think of. Very nicely stocked. Great location, very close/walking distance to beaches, shopping and eating. Great vacation value, and we would do it again. Full disclosure, and this is something the owners really can't control. But at night when it doesn't cool down. The bedroom is hard to cool down, because during our stay the trade winds never kicked up enough to get the cool breeze in. So be prepared for that.
Laurie and Jeff provided a lot of helpful tips and recommendations that we found very useful. They made all expectations very clear and understandable.
I hate giving 5 stars because I'd like to keep this a secret so that it is available anytime I would like to book it. But they worked hard to make a great place to stay.
....personally, I would have loved to have a cable box in the bedroom. :-)

"We had an amazing time in Laurie and Jeff's condo. They were warm, informative, and responsive, and truly welcomed us into their home. In every step they made everything as smooth and easy for us as possible.
I can't say enough good things about the condo. From the beautiful island decor to the detailed touches that escalate this place from a rental to a second home, everything was thoughtfully stocked, fully equipped, simply labeled, and on point. There wasn't a single thing that we needed, that wasn't provided. I was floored by the level of forethought and intention. It truly helped to realize our dream vacation. Mahalo, until the next time.

My new tropical home away from home!
"Just returned from a glorious week from here and this condo is everything it appears to be....perfect! The owners have thought of everything you can possibly need to make your vacation exceptional. The location is ideal with access to so many incredible beaches within minutes, and one is literally steps away. When you're not in the mood for the beach, the pool is literally right outside the door. The gardens on the property are really pretty and beautifully maintained and plenty of great restaurants, bars and shops just a short walk away. We can't wait to go again, we have found a great home away from home!"

Ideal in every way!
"This place is such a gem! We've stayed in other condos in the Kihei area over the years and this is our favourite. It's exceptionally well-equipped (coolers, boogie boards, good beach chairs, water bottles, etc.), the bed is comfortable, the dcor is warm and welcoming, and the entire condo is as neat as a pin. We instantly felt at home. The owners provided more than enough dish soap, plastic bags, bath towels, etc. for the full week we were there. I really enjoyed the view from the ground floor patio and had many morning coffees there. We also watched the sunset every night on the beach, which is a very short walk just across the street. On our last night, there were whales about 200 yards from shore! The location is ideal in every way. The owners were excellent to work with can't say enough about how organized and thoughtful they were and the management at the front office was first rate. Overall, this was a really positive experience!"

Feels Like Home!
"We have vacationed many times in Maui and without a doubt Kihei Hale O Maluhia is the best outfitted and well managed condo we have ever rented. The condo looks just like the owner's website photos and their description of the amenities is no exaggeration, everything you need for a wonderful vacation is there. The condo has been fully renovated and set up to feel like 'home' and I cannot think of one thing that would make it any better. The owners are super responsive and we would definitely stay here again, thank you Laurie and Jeff.

This one is a gem!!
"Kihei Hale O Maluhia is wonderful 1 bedroom condo at the Kihei Akahi Complex. It is directly across the street from Kamaole Beach #2, which is a very nice beach, all you really need. The condo itself is very well equipped. A nice kitchen with all the utensils, a nice living room that opens up to the ground floor lanai, steps from a pool and BBQ area. The bedroom has space for luggage without impeding traffic. Beach Accessories including: umbrellas, beach chairs, Morey Boogies, some smaller plastic shovels and buckets, a nice big kid shovel, three coolers, and a wagon (I loved the wagon). I'd go back and stay at Hale O Maluhia again. Knowing in advance it has all the beach gear and a well equipped kitchen, in a nicely appointed condo, guarantees me a great beach vacation!! This one is a gem!!"

Great Winter Escape
"Weather was stunning during our stay - 6th trip to Maui
Laurie was very quick to reply to our many inquiries. Condo very well situated in Kihei - within walking distance to Kamaole II beach, coffee shops, and grocery stores.It was well appointed and fully furnished - especially the kitchen which had everything you needed.
Lots of beach gear - chairs, umbrellas, towels etc.
Appreciated the many clear operating instructions for TV, stereo, ceiling fans etc
Just 15 paces to the pool from Lanai which was great!"

Best Maui Condo!
"Our family had an incredible vacation at Jeff and Laurie's Maui condo. The cleanest, most comfortable, most stylish and most well equipped condo we have ever stayed at in Maui. Exceptional location in Kihei and within the complex. Ground level entry right by the pool is great! The communication, attention to detail and organization provided by the hosts is amazing. The condo has beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach wagon, sand free beach mat, boogie boards, coolers.....anything and everything you need for your days at the beach. Oh and don't forget the decor coordinating water bottles :) The welcome basket and card put a smile on our faces when we arrived after a long day of travel. Will definitely be back!

40th Anniversary
"We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, Laurie and Jeff's condo was a great place to start. The condo had everything we needed, very clean and comfortable. Great lanai, steps from the pool and a short walk to Kamaole II. The weather was sunny everyday and we had some very yummy huli huli chicken to munch on. We would most definitely recommend this condo to all our friends and relatives. Mahalo to Laurie and Jeff for sharing their lovely home with us."

2 Tickets to Paradise!
"We were so happy when we checked into the condo. It was so clean and comfortable. We instantly felt at home. The nice basket of goodies was just the right touch. Loved that we could walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. We had come from Oahu with lots of traffic and congestion. Maui was such a different atmosphere, it really felt like a vacation. We will definitely stay there again."

Lovely Condo!
"We just finished a 3 week stay in Laurie and Jeff's condo in Kihei. The location is perfect, across the street from Kamaole II beach - one of the largest and nicest beaches in Maui.
They have all the beach equipment you need, great chairs, umbrella, sand free mat, large cooler and ice packs, beach towels, noodles, boogie boards and a nice wheel rolling cart to carry all to the beach. The kitchen has wonderful appliances and well stocked - being there for work for 3 weeks we cooked in most nights and had everything we needed. Laurie was wonderful to work with, answered my questions, with quick response time. NO problems at all with payments, deposit refunds, etc. The unit is ground floor, so nice to walk right out on the grass and the pool is directly across from their unit. Very close.
The walk to the beach is easy, but note that coming back to the unit, it's a slight uphill. No big deal. My only issue with our stay is that the bedroom does not have its own air-conditioner and the air flow through the unit was not enough to cool off the bedroom. Note: we were there in August, and it was a heat wave, exceptionally warm according to the locals. We had every fan going (nice that they did have many extra fans in the unit - so that helped.)
The location was walkable to restaurants and shops and beach, and only a few blocks from the highway, so easy to get around the island. Parking place is right under a tree, so kept the car cool."

The perfect place for a perfect trip
"We really enjoyed our stay at Laurie and Jeff's beautiful and charming condo in Kihei. The condo was really clean and well equipped, super well located and had everything to facilitate our stay and make us feel at home. Laurie was always available and fast to answer all our questions and make sure that everything was alright during our stay. We loved the pool which was a real oasis just a few steps away from the condo. We also loved the beach that was perfect for swimming, snorkeling and watching the amazing sunsets! We could also see many Hawaiian green sea turtles at the beach which was magical! We also loved surfing at Kalama Park, which is only 10 minutes drive from the condo. It was the perfect place for beginners like us. We would recommend this condo to everyone who wants to have an incredible stay in Maui."

In fact, you'll begin planning for a return visit before you leave. Laurie and Jeff are amazing owners and truly deliver 5-star service from beginning to end.
You will find yourself in an island paradise location with one of two pools just steps away and one of several beaches a walk down the condo complex driveway. Laurie and Jeff have furnished this home with everything you can think of for your vacation needs (from beach gear, kitchen needs, bath/BR linens, electronic connections, etc). You can cook your own meals or explore the many wonderful restaurants within walking distance of a short drive away. Don't forget to get your local Shave Ice treat too!
You can immerse yourself in the many various island activities (snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, beach walking, swimming, mountain biking adventures on Mt. Haleakala as well trips to Lahaina, Upcountry and/or taking a cruise to Hana and exploring the waterfalls and delightful swimming spots along the way.
OR, you can do everything that brings you rest, relaxation and rejuvenation of the body/spirit/soul. Enjoy the patio while listening to the soft songs of the island birds while breathing in the sweet scent of the plumeria tree or sit by the pool that's just steps away or languish under a palm tree/umbrella on the beaches that are a short stroll from this condo.

Beautiful relaxing place!
"We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful condo. The colour scheme is relaxing and comfortable. We loved that we could come and go from the lanai and relax out there after returning from the beach. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the beach gear was very handy. Charming and Conveniently Located!
"We loved the charming condo which felt like it reflected the owners' style. It definitely did not feel like a hotel! More than enough space for us and our 1-year old baby. We tucked the crib alongside the baby in the bedroom. Overall the complex was quiet, and the other guests were friendly.
The condo was conveniently located with restaurants, groceries, and beaches within walking distance. Laurie was very responsive to all of our questions and gave us great tips for things to do. We especially enjoyed Palauea Beach - went on a weekday and it felt like our own private beach! Having the beach gear (sandmat, chairs, cooler, boogie boards, etc.) available at the condo made life easy.
We enjoyed our stay at Jeff & Laurie's and would consider staying here again. Mahalo!"

Perfect Location in Paradise!
"We visited Maui for the first time in November 2017. Laurie was very responsive to any email inquiries I had prior to arriving. We were more than happy when we walked in to the beautifully decorated condo. The condo is so well organized and very clean as well as being equipped with everything you could imagine. A nice touch was the ice maker in the freezer, the ice packs for the cooler and the ice-cold mugs waiting for us. The other beach supplies were an added bonus and we loved the beach chairs in particular. The beautiful beach and amazing sunsets are right across the street from this complex. There is a flashing crossing light to help pedestrians cross the busy street safely. Everything was in practically brand new condition and we took good care of it and treated it like it was our own. There are four different styles of portable fans plus the two ceiling fans in the condo which we used throughout and they worked well. We did not even turn the a/c on as it was not necessary during our stay. We felt that being a ground floor condo it was a bonus as we were steps away from the BBQ's and the pool area. We made use of the nice patio set and umbrella as we ate our dinner on the lanai daily. There is a landscaping company on site daily and it shows! Wow!!! I am glad we found this condo and I have already shared their Facebook page with some family and friends who have not yet visited Maui. Mahalo Laurie & Jeff"

"Yes, it's a five star experience..!
It's really comfortable, clean and beautiful home. It has everything you might need for a great vacation and even more... You're feeling like someone always cares about you.
Every day we had a possibility to enjoy a pleasant and warm morning in front of the door on a beautiful lawn with a cup of coffee. The place is quiet and secure. An amazing beach is right across the street.

It was more than we expected!
"What a wonderful surprise when we opened the doors to this great condo. From the perfectly outfitted kitchen to the sunny garden patio to gorgeous bedroom, it was more than we expected. The pool was right out the back door and the beach was only a short walk away. There were also beach chairs, an umbrella, a cooler, and a wagon to get it all transported easily. We were definitely the envy of the beach goers!! There was nothing we were lacking. We can't wait to go back. Thank you so much."

Perfect Kihei Getaway Spot
"A lovingly decorated and outfitted condo, don't hesitate if this is the right location for you. Steps from a fantastic beach, fresh cinnamon rolls, about 1km to surfing (lessons rentals etc) and some of the best value restaurants in the area (Paia Fish Market and try Nalu's also). We are active and hit the entire island from this centrally located condo. As such, we almost felt bad not utilizing what was available right there! Many thanks for a great experience and lovely stay!!"

Wow! What a great place!
"Wow! What a great and pleasant Aloha surprise when we arrived here. So happy to have a place close to the beach and not only that, a pool right in our own backyard it seemed. And my husband who loves to cook was absolutely amazed at all the cooking utensils and the dishes and glassware. Just a very well equipped condo, a short walk to the beach and I even walked to stores almost daily. Thanks for the tip to go to Paia fish market and also Eskimo candy! Great and close restaurants. Love having the washer and dryer too! Again the condo is so well equipped we wanted for nothing. You can arrive in just a bathing suit and practically have everything you need"
