When you are in your rental car headed down the Piilani Highway and are surrounded by mountains and ocean, you can feel your tensions disappear. Take a deep breath and note the fragrance of the islands carried on the breeze. This is Maui.

Entering Wailea your senses awaken further. The jeweled colors of the bougainvillea against the spacious lawns and Pacific backdrop are a delight to your eyes. Shortly you arrive at Grand Champions. A relaxing waterfall, brilliant ginger plants and plumeria trees greet you. Two swimming pools complete with barbeques and picnic tables are within 100 yards for your enjoyment. Best of all is the quiet relaxed atmosphere this location offers that busy hotels cannot.

For recreation, the Tennis Center is within 100 yards of our unit and the Wailea Blue Course surrounds the complex. Ulua and Mokapu beaches are only a few minutes away, giving you access to the shorewalk behind the Grand Wailea, Four Seasons and Kea Lani resorts . Many wonderful restaurants at all price points are within a short walk.

We fell in love with Maui and the Wailea area when we came to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and have returned almost every year since.
