November 6 – 12, 2011 brings Restaurant Week back to Wailea!
If you have been cooking all week at your South Maui Vacation Rental Condo and are now looking for a few good restaurants to sample – without cleaning out your pocket book – Restaurant Week in Wailea is a great place to begin!
Many of South Maui’s popular restaurants participate in this “pre-fixe” meal that range in prices from $29 to $49 per person. If you have been looking to try Gannon’s, want to explore to find Joe’s in Wailea or are looking to hit Longhi’s at the Shops of Wailea then you are in luck!
Restaurant week is a great time to check out many of Waiela’s restaurants. The Wailea Resort Association makes it easy to find which establishments are participating as they have their own website and a complete list of participating restaurants can be found by clicking here. Reservations are recommended and appreciated.
One of my favorite aspects of this event is the philanthropy that accompanies Restaurant Week. Each of the participating restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds to the Maui Food Bank. Not only do you have the opportunity to sample some great food (at wonderful prices) but you also are helping a wonderful charity as well. The previous Restaurant Week (May 2011) over $4,800 was donated to the Maui Food Bank. “This is a cause I can really sink my teeth into!”
